Registration is open for the Sunday December 10th 2023 Judo Shiai & Festival happening at the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. The Shiai portion is open to athletes yellow belt and up, the Festival portion is open to any age and level and includes an Ukemi Competition, races, and several festival events. Ninja Leadership Program

When a Ninja Kid graduates from the program, they have the opportunity to begin Judo and continue attending Ninja Kids classes as a Leader.  This allows students to demonstrate their skills and practice their leadership while guiding the next generation of students.  On the left is Ninja Emerson who regularly attends our youngest group at 9am at the Wellness Centre, Ninja Natasha (middle) supports the Ninja Kids classes and P.D. day camps, and Ninja Eli brings amazing skills to the kids at the Wellness Centre.  All three are growing in Judo under either Sensei Hino and/or Sensei Teleki.  Contact us today to learn more about how your kid can become a Ninja Leader!

Ninja Cory Bio: Cory is a Ninja Kids graduate who now does competitive judo at the Trent Judo Club and competes in monthly and annual tournaments. Cory is in grade 8 at a French immersion school and is vegetarian. In the rare moments when he is not doing judo, Cory enjoys boxing, drawing and spending time with his cats and dogs. He also likes to play video games, read  and hang out with his friends.

​Ninja Emerson Bio: My name is Emerson. I'm a Ninja Kids graduate and now I am a Judo student with the Trent Judo Club. Other activities I enjoy are curling, soccer, swimming, biking, and Ultimate Frisbee. I am learning how to play guitar and my favourite food is pizza. I love to read books about funny stuff - especially graphic novels. My favourite book series is "Captain Underpants".​

We have had amazing success delivering over 2500 classes to kids as young as 14 months old to adult classes.  Our Academy has created a system of learning that not only promotes effective long-term athlete development, it also has a high retention strategy to keep a strong roster.   The package is more than just a name, it is a philosophy and practice that is tested and true.  Please see below for the cost of holding the Ninja Academy licence for your dojo:

• Ninja Academy License with 16 hours of training: $2000/year
• Ninja Academy License without training: $5000/year
• Ninja Academy Licensed Coach: $500/year

All licensees must be evaluated to ensure Ninja Academy philosophies are adhered to in the highest form possible, the license costs does not include materials necessary for program implementation.  These cost extra because of the varying number of students in each gym.  Schools can also hold a license of the Ninja Academy program, which includes: training and delivery of the basics of ukemi and physical literacy facilitation.  Fitness clubs can train their staff to provide this valuable program in child minding or fitness rooms.  Martial arts dojo's can train their instructors to be able to provide quality programming to kids as young as 16 months old and to facilitate retention and succession planning.  Training and program delivery costs vary according to size of staff and students, but reflect the costs listed above.
